THE AUXILIARY OF RWJUH

Mission and Purpose

Since its inception in 1954, the Auxiliary of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital has worked tirelessly to enhance patient care, programs and facilities at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. The Auxiliary's mission is two-fold.

The Auxiliary is committed to raising funds in order to continually improve the hospital's facilities and services

​

Working side by side with the hospital's administration team, the Auxiliary identifies a project on which to dedicate its efforts and sets a financial goal.

​

The Auxiliary has made possible such improvements as: the construction of The Chapel for all Faiths, a pediatric playdeck, surgical waiting room and more. The Auxiliary's financial commitment has made and continues to make a great impact on the hospital's growth and reputation.

The second component of the Auxiliary's mission is more personal in nature. The Auxiliary has ancillary groups of Auxilians, called "twigs," that concentrate their efforts on making each patient's stay a little brighter by providing special handmade crafts and other "little touches" that demonstrate the compassion and caring of these dedicated individuals.

The Auxiliary is committed to the patients and families of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
